Hello Sytze, The day before yesterday we came home from the Elfsteden bicycle tour. We loved it! We were lucky with the weather. Hotels and transportation were fine. My husband (75jr) did the whole trip on his regular bike! Thank you very much for the good organization.

Cycled the Elfstedentocht with our Belgian friends from June 12 to 16. The weather was variable, but that didn’t matter for this SUPER beautiful tour. Saw a lot, enjoyed and had fun with the hospitable Frisians! The organization is top! Accessible, hospitable, helpful, good service and cozy! Good hotels and delicious food after a day of cycling. We had a wonderful vacation and can recommend it. There are several possibilities for different tours, so we have not finished cycling yet. Good luck and see you soon!
Chapeau Friesland Holland Travel!
We booked our cycling vacation Elfstedentocht through Sytze of Friesland Holland Travel. From the beginning I had a very nice contact with Sytze. Special about our cycling vacation was that Agmaja was going to do the tour by handbike. Margret with a rented e-bike. Agmaja is wheelchair-dependent so that has to be taken into account. Fortunately a small staircase is not a problem, (strong arms) so we entered each hotel in no time. How fantastically everything was arranged, the suitcases to the next hotel, lovely quiet rooms in beautiful surroundings, good breakfast, extensive high-quality dinner. How beautiful Friesland is and how sweet and helpful the people are. Many kilometers in the arms and legs (including extra day Ameland which we had booked, no less than 336km.). Three days of beautiful weather, three days of much storm and rain but that didn’t spoil the fun. As Sytze said, “In Friesland it is always nice weather!” and that is true, it is what you make of it yourself. Even during the huge rain we enjoyed it, highly recommended for the bike/handbike enthusiast! Chapeau Friesland Holland Travel!”
Friesland is very beautiful!
We would like to thank you very much for the good hotels with breakfast and dinner that you reserved for us. The Elfstedentocht we completed last week was amazing. We really enjoyed it, and of course, the weather also contributed to this. We only made a small adjustment on day 2 and spent that day in Dokkum, so we had fewer kilometers to cover on day 3.

Last week, four of us participated in the northern part of the Elfstedentocht bike route with Friesland Holland. It was a very beautiful route, passing through four of the eleven cities. In addition, there was a boat trip to Ameland, where we could spend a day cycling. All of our accommodations were clean and tidy, with good dinners and a generous breakfast. Our last stop in Holwerd was for two nights at the Zee van Tijd hotel. This was an excellent, surprisingly beautiful, very clean, tidy, and atmospheric hotel, equipped with all amenities. The dinner was very good and extensive, the breakfast was incredibly rich and fresh, and we were allowed to take what we couldn’t finish as lunch for the road. In short, an excellent conclusion to our four-day cycling holiday with Friesland Holland.

Our Toyota MR2 Club Netherlands was looking for a location and an interesting program for the planned club weekend in Friesland. Through Google, we came across the website of Friesland Holland Travel, which appealed to us as a Friesland specialist with terms like “customized.” After sending an email with our general requests, we quickly got in touch with Sytze by phone. After exchanging various options and wishes, we received a tailor-made offer for our large group of nearly 50 people and 25 classic sports cars. As we wanted to emphasize the Friesland theme and the club spirit, Sytze arranged a wonderful, beautiful, and cozy family hotel. Combined with very good and cozy restaurants for both evenings, we had a fantastic club weekend. We enjoyed a Frisian quiz with great prizes and received excellent documentation to ride the Elfstedentocht. Our group consisted of participants from all over the Netherlands, as well as from Belgium and Denmark. Each participant found it to be a wonderful weekend, during which Sytze became part of the MR2 club due to his friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor. Whenever adjustments or changes were needed, Sytze’s willingness and solution-oriented thinking were always present.
